About Laura Gallagher

Laura Gallagher’s passion for writing and storytelling led her to launch The Creative Company in 1989. Her business has grown to become one of the most respected PR and digital agencies in Madison, while serving successful entrepreneurial companies, retailers, healthcare organizations and nonprofits throughout the United States. Her team of talented designers, artists, writers, code developers and PR pros work collaboratively every day to achieve goals for clients.

Professional Leadership

Laura leads one of the most respected PR and digital agencies in Madison. She’s also served on a national board for the retail industry, is active with top-tier PR pros from around the country through Public Relations Society of America Counselors Academy and serves on a number of local boards and committees, helping with everything from literacy to the achievement gap. A fact about national boards—only 16.6 percent have women on them.

Community Service

Laura has actively served as a volunteer and board member with nonprofits at both the local and state levels throughout her career. She believes in the importance of "giving back" and has shared her time and talent with dozens of causes ranging from increasing literacy to raising awareness about sex trafficking. Laura is currently involved with Healing House - a respite care center for the homeless, The River Food Pantry, Boys and Girls Club, she is a proud Rotarian.

Personal Leadership

Laura has mentored a number of young professionals through the internship program at The Creative Company over the last 26 years. She is a favorite speaker for PRSSA, the student chapter of the Public Relations Society of America at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She’s been speaking to this group for 20 years. Laura also personally mentors an at-risk youth she met six years ago at the Boys & Girls Club.
